The World Transplant Games are a celebration of life and as such include many social and cultural events such as an Opening Ceremony, Cultural evenings, Closing ceremony, Donor recognition events, Youth Programs and a Gala Dinner. The games have attracted 2,500+ participants from over 60 different nations, made up of athletes, medical professionals, donor families, living donors and supporters, and continues to keep growing.
ATHLETES AND VOLUNTEERS

Days of competition for a number of sports ranging from low impact through to high exertion.
4 to 80+
Aged athletes who have undergone either solid organ or bone marrow life saving transplants, these include Liver, Heart, Lung, Kidney, Pancreas and Bone Marrow.
Located in the heart of Houston, The University of Houston will be the central hub for all World Transplant Games participants as well as the location of all planned social gatherings and meetings. The University of Houston will also serve as the site for 10 of 15 sports all played at a state-of-the-art campus facility.
